Robert joined Prospectus Associates in August 2010. In a past life, before a passion for politics and public policy drew him back to his hometown of Ottawa, Robert was a freelance journalist and editor. He worked at a number of Canada’s leading publications, including Maclean’s, Canadian Business and Toronto Life. As part of the team that assembled Chatelaine‘s 80th anniversary package, Robert was nominated for a National Magazine Award in 2008. Journalism also brought Robert overseas, where he was a columnist at several popular English-language newspapers and magazines in Taiwan and China.
Robert is a skilled researcher and writer. His journalism experience and knowledge of Canada’s government institutions allows him to provide in-depth data to Prospectus’ consultants. Moreover, by managing the firm’s website and social media properties, he is regularly plugged into the news cycle and can quickly alert clients to developing stories.
Robert graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts. He is currently enrolled in Carleton University’s Master of Arts (Public Administration) program.
