CEO of Seaspan Jonathan Whitworth visited Ottawa on February 14th to speak to the Canadian Club about the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS). Mr. Whitworth discussed how, as a result of the NSS, the shipbuilding industry has been strengthened within Canada and now considered a global leader in supplying navies and coast guards around the world.
Since securing multiple contracts with the Canadian government to provide joint supply ships for the Royal Canadian Navy and vessels for the Canadian Coast Guard, Seaspan has created thousands of high-value jobs and led the way in revitalizing an industry that nearly collapsed. The company continues to be a proud partner supporting Canada’s maritime ambitions and stewardship of its marine habitat and coastal environment.
Prospectus consultants Robert Evershed and Keelan Green attended their client’s presentation, providing strategic communications and government relations services to Seaspan as they prepared for the event.
