At a special meeting of the Toronto Region Research Alliance (TRRA), Rob Evershed and Bill Pristanski made a presentation and answered questions regarding the new Conservative’s government plans for research and development, innovation and sustainability.
Founded in October 2005, the Toronto Region Research Alliance (TRRA) is an innovative network of community leaders committed to transforming the Toronto Region into a world-leading centre for research and research-intensive industry. TRRA serves the broader Toronto Region, embracing Hamilton, Guelph, the Waterloo Region and the Greater Toronto Area (Durham, Toronto , York, Peel and Halton). The audience for their presentation included presidents, chief executive officers and senior leaders from business, universities, colleges, research institutes, hospitals and municipal organizations in the region.
Following their formal presentation, Evershed and Pristanski facilitated a lively discussion centered around how to take advantage of the fact that Jim Flaherty would be the champion for the Toronto region and the new government’s innovation agenda.
