Pristanski Visits Waterloop Team

October 31, 2017

The University of Waterloo’s Hyperloop student design team, Waterloop, intends to design and build a new Hyperloop pod for the SpaceX Hyperloop Competition III in summer 2018.

On October 31, University of Waterloo Board of Governors Vice-chair Thorsten Heins, and Governors Ted Scott and Bill Pristanski visited the Waterloop team in their Engineering 5 garage.  Due to the nature of the Waterloo co-operative education system, the team undergoes a major roster transition every four-month term.  The team has a diverse background with students from all six faculties and members hailing from over 20 countries.

Waterloop is the only Canadian school remaining in the SpaceX Hyperloop competition.
