Gord Brown’s hockey match tops $100,000 for Leeds-Grenville United Way

November 23, 2010

With Bill Pristanski as coach and Senator Runciman as General Manager the Blue team defeated the White team 9 to 7 in a well-played game in front of a sell-out crowd in Cardinal on November 23.  Organized by MP Gord Brown, his third annual charity hockey game raised more than $100,000 for the local United Way.  Pristanski’s team featured Gord Brown and Patrick Brown on a line with Hon. Peter MacKay.  Hon. Rob Moore played with NHL great Doug Smith (drafted second overall by LA in 1981).  Todd Gill, MPP Steve Clark, James Rajotte and Rick Dykstra were stalwart defence in front of goalie Dean DelMastro from Peterborough.  Michael Chong, MP coached the White team.
